Turkey Spinach Sliders

Now this is healthier eating with FLAVOR!

Since my grand-daughters were visiting I wanted to make a child-friendly, healthy meal for them. Burgers to be held by small hands that would taste really good with added nutritious benefits.

My son, 28 years young now, ate five of them!

These sliders were so easy to prepare with delicious results!

Take ground, lean turkey and add two onions and four cloves of fresh garlic that have been cooked in a tablespoon of olive oil until very soft and translucent. Defrost a box of frozen chopped spinach and squeeze the excess liquid then add as much or as little to the turkey mixture. Add salt and pepper and mix well.

Form 3” patties and place onto pan lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Bake for about 20-25 minutes at 400 degrees.

I served the sliders with a choice of yellow American cheese, low-fat mozzarella or plain on soft, cushiony, potato dinner rolls.

The girls enjoyed them but my son and I liked them even more!
